The TX1 is a Temperature Optimised Time Switch designed for air conditioning and heating systems. Unlike an ordinary time switch, the TX1 has Temperature Optimised Starting. Therefore, you do not tell it what time to switch on, instead you tell it what time you arrive, and what temperature you want it to be when you arrive. The details are worked out by the on-board micro processor. The TX1 quickly learns the building’s heating characteristics and makes the necessary adjustments each day as weather conditions change. This feature provides large savings in running costs as the system starts just-in-time each morning. The TX1 also features a manual override operation (by temperature) which prevents the room from varying outside selected limits when the system is off. This is ideal for computer rooms, laboratories etc, where overnight and weekend temperatures should not vary excessively while the system is off. The TX1 uses a holiday period or block holiday system. Instead of having to enter a string of holidays, simply enter the date of the first holiday and the date of the last holiday of the period. The TX1 will skip the first and last days and all those in between. The feature is ideal for periods such as Easter and Christmas as well as for institutions such as schools and universities with extended holiday periods. Typical uses include lighting, automatic doors, pumps, supply/exhaust fans, school and university buildings as well as a wide range of industrial and commercial uses.
